ABOUT THE JOB We are looking for an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead the EHS function at our Atlanta, GA site.This is an onsite senior individual‐contributor role responsible for owning the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Environmental Health and Safety programs across a fast‐moving manufacturing, test, and R&D environment — and for making sure the systems we stand up scale with the site.As the senior EHS professional on site, you are the subject‐matter expert and the face of EHS: you own the programs, set the standard, and partner with production to keep our people safe and the site compliant with federal, state, and local regulations. Your scope spans occupational safety, chemical management, incident management, ergonomics, industrial hygiene, storm water management, air emissions, and regulated waste. You lead through expertise, influence, and mentorship rather than direct reports — building a culture where safe behavior is the default and EHS is a partner to production, not a roadblock.This role is for someone who wants to build a system, not just manage one. WHAT YOU'LL DOOwn the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the site's EHS management system and programs, and drive them to scale as the site growsServe as the site's senior EHS subject‐matter expert and primary interface and liaison with site leadership, employees, customers, auditors, and regulatorsLead incident and near‐miss investigations, including root cause analysis, and drive corrective and preventive actions to closureEstablish and run the cadence of routine EHS inspections of manufacturing and warehouse areas, documenting conditions and driving findings to closureOwn the site's EHS risk profile — performing and directing risk assessments and job hazard analyses for manufacturing operations and ensuring controls are implementedOwn hazardous waste management, including proper characterization, handling, labeling, and storage, and ensure the site meets all generator obligationsEnsure compliance with safety programs and standards including hazard communication, fall protection, respiratory protection, lockout/tagout (LOTO), machine guarding, powered and hand tools, electrical safety, emergency response, and chemical managementOwn regulatory compliance documentation and recordkeeping — OSHA logs, environmental permits, waste manifests, and reporting — and keep the site audit‐ready at all timesLead internal audits, track findings to closure, and report EHS performance and leading/lagging indicators to site and functional leadershipProvide technical leadership and mentorship to other EHS staff and site personnel, influencing safe behaviors across departments through expertise rather than positional authorityPartner heavily with Operations, Facilities, and other departments to guide, teach, and embed EHS into how the site runsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS7+ years of experience implementing and overseeing environmental, health, and safety programs, including serving as the senior or lead EHS professional for a site or programDeep working knowledge of 29 CFR 1910 General IndustryWorking knowledge of 40 CFR Parts 260–279 Hazardous Waste Management, and familiarity with EPA and state environmental regulationsHands‐on command of core EHS activities: inspections, incident/near‐miss investigation and root cause analysis, corrective action tracking, risk assessments/JHAs, hazardous waste characterization, and compliance recordkeeping (OSHA logs, permits, manifests)Demonstrated ability to own programs and provide technical direction and mentorship through influence rather than positional authorityStrong written and verbal communication skills, effective at engaging with leadership, regulators, front‐line staff, and third‐party partnersProven ability to manage multiple programs, projects, and deadlines simultaneously across a fast‐moving siteComfortable operating independently on a manufacturing floor and able to hit the ground running with minimal ramp‐upU.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export‐controlled sitesPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Well‐rounded EHS professional who can operate as the senior EHS authority on siteManufacturing experience, ideally in a full‐rate production facilityExperience scaling an EHS management system through rapid site growthHigh‐energy professional who craves the opportunity to build a system rather than just manage oneNatural tendency to challenge the status quo and find new, novel ways to improve EHS management systemsSomeone who leans into challenges instead of saying "no" and walking awayRelevant professional certification (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM) is a plusUS Salary Range$111,000—$147,000 USDThe salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
