Telecommunications Technician

Duration: 3 Months

Pay Rate: $36/Hr - $44/hr

Location: Indianapolis, Indiana, United States, Columbus, Ohio Metropolitan Area

What You’ll Do: Facilitate employee training and onboarding using approved materials. Deliver technical instruction including lecture, hands on activities, labs, and various assessments. Provide remediation and support for students to ensure learning outcomes. Consult with other trainers, managers, and leadership. Track and compile collected data for accurate training reports. Document employee performance and outcomes of training. Review, test, and provide feedback on training materials. Prepare and maintain training facilities including daily cleaning and setup. Stay current on the latest data center tools and infrastructure best practices. Coordinate and monitor enrollment, schedules, and equipment. Develop and coordinate training schedules. Assess training needs through surveys and interviews. Support the conceptualization and development of new training materials. Communicate training needs and online resources as appropriate. Coach and develop Associate Trainers. Travel as needed.

Must have: 6-9 years field industry experience of installation of structured cabling – preferably fiber. Telecommunication Industry Certifications, preferably BICSI. Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Power Point, Outlook, and Excel). Strong interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management. Expert organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset. Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions. Professional appearance and demeanor.
