Administrative Assistant, Purchasing The Administrative Assistant, Purchasing is responsible for assisting with the procurement and management of items that are not directly used in the production of pharmaceutical/nutraceutical products (Indirect Purchasing).This position is a part-time opportunity with a potential to be full-time perm.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday; 9:00am - 1:00pmLocation: ONSITE, Hauppauge. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Entering & updating purchase orders in CPC's ERP System (DEACOM).Support in the reconciliation of invoice/receiving discrepancies. Assist in organizing and filing physical and electronic records associated with department. Other responsibilities as assigned by Senior Management.
Education and Experience:
High-School or Associates degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.1 year of work experience in Purchasing or similar, preferably in pharma/nutrition/OTC industry.
Familiarity with a pharma/nutrition/OTC industry a plus.
No purchasing experience is required, willing to train.
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize workload, strong sense of urgency in resolving any issues.
- Organized and detailed oriented.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft Office Outlook.
- Smartsheet experience is a plus.
- Work Conditions:
- Hours/Travel maybe subject to changed based on management/company discretion.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand or walk for long periods. The employee may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Personal Protective Equipment or Attire Required for Position: As needed.
