Pharmacy Technician
Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Position Summary: Kennie's Pharmacy is seeking motivated and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Pharmacy Technicians. No prior pharmacy experience is required. We provide a comprehensive, Board-approved Pharmacy Technician training program at no cost to qualified candidates. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will assist pharmacists in delivering outstanding patient care by supporting prescription processing, medication safety, inventory management, and customer service operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications. Accurately enter prescription information into the pharmacy system. Provide friendly and professional service to patients and customers. Process insurance claims and assist with resolving billing issues. Maintain pharmacy inventory and stock medications and supplies. Support medication safety and quality assurance procedures. Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations. Answer pharmacy telephone calls and direct inquiries appropriately. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional pharmacy environment.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism. Certification and Registration Requirements Candidates must meet Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician registration requirements, including obtaining Pharmacy Technician registration through the Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy. Kennie's Pharmacy provides a comprehensive Board-approved training program at no cost to help employees meet certification and registration requirements.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Ability to perform repetitive tasks and use pharmacy equipment.
