The vehicles we manufacture are the finished results of our skilled workforce, and we're hiring even more. We are looking for Specialists and Team Members to join us in crafting a wide variety of vehicles from the Mercedes-Maybach GLS SUV to our all-electric electric vehicle, the EQS SUV and EQE SUV. Our Tuscaloosa County site is home to the production of Mercedes' luxury SUV models, including electric vehicles. Just down the road in Bibb County, MBUSI has launched the production of high-performance lithium-ion batteries. Essential Functions:
  • Interfacing between MBUSI, R&D and suppliers to support the series carlines and ramp up production of upcoming carlines, while ensuring supplier readiness and parts maturity regarding the project milestones, change management, packaging, and problem analysis
  • Support analysis of specific developmental E/E issues and establish long- & short-term countermeasures including cross-functional alignment
  • Preparation of new carline, model year and facelift launches (check documentation and availability of software and hardware, align corrective actions with responsible person)
  • Support E/E change management for software and wiring harness
  • Participating and supporting the plant internal, cross-functional alignment meeting for EE topics
  • Support the Quality Operations departments and "Service & Parts" by investigating malfunction and solving problems
  • Documentation of project work in PowerPoint, Excel, Word
  • Perform other duties as required
Qualifications: Education, Experience and Necessary Skillsall must be met in order to qualify for position. Education Student in: Electrical Engineering or in a related area, and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Skills Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Knowledge in vehicle electronics (network / buses CAN, LIN, Flexray, ethernet) Preferred Start Date January 2027 Paid internship - hourly rate $18 Coverage of visa costs$700 housing stipend
Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in University or in a gap year between Bachelor'sand Master's degree
  • Studiesoutsideof the U.S.A (we are not accepting applications from students who are currently studying in the U.S.A)A minimum of 3semesters of studies in relevant field of study
  • Available for a minimum of 6 months
