SALARY:
$175K-$200K
TARGET BONUS OF 12.5%

Location: Collegeville, PA –100% Onsite

Position Summary:
TheDirector of Operationsleads day-to-day manufacturing and engineering operations for a manufacturer of customsteel, aluminum, and wood products.
This position has responsibility for Engineering, Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Shipping/Receiving, with ownership of safety, quality, on-time delivery, cost, capacity, and continuous improvement.
We are looking for a hands-on manufacturing leader with a strong background inengineer-to-order fabrication, ideally withinarchitectural metals, stairs and railings, structural steel, millwork, or similar custom manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- LeadEngineering, Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Shipping/Receivingoperations.
- Manage and developsupervisors, managers, and hourly production teams .Own plant performance across
- Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Productivity .Lead OSHA compliance, safety training, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
- Manage production capacity, staffing, fabrication, welding, materials, and workflow to meet customer lead times.
- Drive improvements inquality, defects, rework, customer complaints, and equipment reliability .Establish and manageKPIsand hold departments accountable for results.
- LeadLean manufacturing and continuous improvementinitiatives, including 5S, Kaizen, value-stream mapping, and waste reduction.
- Manage departmental budgets, labor, overtime, materials, maintenance costs, and operating expenses.
- Identify, justify, and managecapital equipment and facility projects .Partner with Purchasing to manage raw materials and inventory levels.
- Work with Engineering oncustom products, new designs, and engineer-to-order projects .Partner with Sales and executive leadership on forecasts, customer commitments, priorities, and capacity planning.
- Maintain a strong presence on themanufacturing floor, identifying problems and driving solutions.
- Use production and financial data to make operational decisions and support company growth.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree inMechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Structural Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.10+ years of manufacturing/operations experience .5+ years leading plant operations or multiple manufacturing departments .Experience leading functions such asProduction, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and/or Supply Chain .Strong experience inengineer-to-order or custom fabrication manufacturing .Background inmetal fabrication, welding, architectural metals, stairs/railings, structural steel, millwork, building products, or similar manufacturing strongly preferred .Experience managing throughsupervisors and managers .Experience owning aP&L or departmental operating budget .Experience planning and managingCAPEX projects .Hands-onLean manufacturingexperience, including 5S, Kaizen, and value-stream mapping. Proven track record improvingsafety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost .Experience establishing and managingmanufacturing KPIs .Strong understanding of production capacity, labor planning, inventory, and manufacturing costs. ERP/MRP experience preferred. Lean/Six Sigma andOSHA 30certifications preferred. Must be ahands-on leader comfortable spending significant time on the shop floor .#IND1
