Chief Transformation Officer

About the Role: This is the CEO's right hand on value creation inside a global leader in testing, inspection, and certification serving a highly regulated, real-money industry. You'll own the initiatives that move EBITDA and enterprise value, including pricing, AI, cost efficiency, and the operating discipline a founder-built company needs as it grows into a mid-sized private equity-backed business. It's a hands-on operating seat, not a strategy role built around decks. The founder-CEO is staying on, and the mandate is clear: help the company professionalize, sharpen execution, and deliver against the value-creation plan.

What You'll Do: Act as the CEO's right hand on value creation Lead pricing strategy and execution across the testing and certification portfolio Build the company's AI agenda, focusing on where AI can speed up testing, improve decisions, and reduce operating cost Run cost-efficiency programs without slowing the work clients depend on Mature the processes, reporting, and operating rhythms that help a founder-led business run like an institutional one Partner with the deal team and board on the value-creation plan, then track progress against the investment thesis Qualifications10 to 15+ years across operations, strategy, or value creation, ideally combining operating roles with a top-tier strategy consulting or private equity background Experience in testing, inspection, and certification, or in business services and IT services where the product is a tech-enabled service A track record of putting pricing, cost, and process improvements in place that showed up in results Comfort working hands-on inside a founder-led business that is professionalizing for the first time Real fluency in how AI changes a services operation Based in the New York metro area, or willing to spend significant time there
