Electro Technician Opportunity in Ft. Lauderdale, FLAre you an experienced Electro Technician looking for an exciting opportunity in the beautiful city of Ft. Lauderdale, FL? Join our team at the Fiveash Water Treatment Plant and play a crucial role in maintaining the electrical controls and equipment essential for providing potable water to our community. This is a temporary full-time position with a potential three-year term, offering you the chance to contribute to the city's vital infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and repair electrical, electronic, and instrumentation equipment at water and wastewater facilities.
Install, troubleshoot, and calibrate equipment related to the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.
Service and monitor flowmeters, pump station alarms, and security systems.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standard operating procedures.
Participate in off-duty emergency call-ins to address electrical system malfunctions.
Requirements:
- High school or trade school graduate, or possess an acceptable G.E.D. certificate.
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience with instrumentation and controls.
- Ability to exert medium physical demands, including lifting up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
- Fluent in English (written and verbal).Preferences
- Completion of trade courses in industrial electricity, electronics, or instrumentation.
- Electrician Journeyman License or Certification in Electronics.
