Tax Consultant

Salary: $125 - $175 per hour

Job Details: Responsibilities Provide tax consulting services within a sales tax lookback to understand total exposure Conduct detailed tax research and analysis to develop innovative tax planning strategies. Manage and coordinate tax audits, responding to tax authorities on behalf of clients. Prepare and review complex tax returns and reports. Identify and mitigate tax risks for clients. Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations, and communicate these changes to clients and team members. Collaborate with other team members to provide comprehensive tax solutions. Foster and maintain strong client relationships, providing exceptional customer service. Contribute to business development efforts, identifying opportunities for new client acquisition and service expansion.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax consulting, preferably within the Manufacturing industry. Profound knowledge of sales tax and its application in the Manufacturing industry. Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and apply complex tax regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships. Demonstrated experience in managing tax audits. Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development. A strong ethical standard is essential.
