About the role

Instructional Assistant - Greenwich, CTMake a lasting impact by supporting young learners in inclusive educational settings as a paraprofessional for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. Multiple openings are available for full-time positions beginning this fall. These roles are based onsite and focus on self-contained classrooms serving students with Autism Spectrum Disorder in kindergarten through third grade.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Valid Connecticut Paraprofessional Certification (CT Para Cert)
  • Previous experience in a school or early childhood environment is a plus
  • Comfortable and willing to assist with toileting and personal care as needed
  • Demonstrated patience, compassion, and adaptability
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster relationships with students, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support classroom teachers in delivering instruction and managing classroom activities
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, following individualized education plans
  • Assist students with personal care, including toileting, ensuring a safe and supportive environment
  • Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive classroom culture
  • Observe and document student progress as directed by certified staff
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development as required
