About the role

OTR Class A CDL Tanker Truck Driver – Effingham, ILADM Trucking, Inc. is seeking experienced OTR Class A CDL Tanker Truck Drivers to join our team in Effingham, Illinois. This is a full-time, hourly position with competitive benefits and opportunities for additional earnings through our sign-on and referral bonuses.

Position Summary: As an OTR Class A Tanker Driver, you will safely and efficiently transport food-grade products while providing reliable service to our customers. Drivers are responsible for planning and managing each trip, including:
  • Breaks and fuel stops
  • Customer appointments and delivery schedules
  • Weather, traffic, and construction conditions
  • City and rural driving conditions
  • Unexpected delays or changing circumstances
  • The position requires extended periods of sitting while operating company equipment. Equipment may include, but is not limited to:
  • Semi-trucks
  • Tanker trailers
  • Dry vans
  • Pneumatic trailers
  • Intermodal equipment
Drivers are responsible for safely loading and unloading products in accordance with company and customer procedures. Nights, weekends, and holidays may be required to ensure timely customer deliveries. Weekly mileage may fluctuate based on customer needs and operating conditions.
Essential Job Functions: Drivers must comply with all applicable government, company, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations, including requirements established by: FMCSAOSHAEPADepartment of Labor (DOL)
Required Qualifications:
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Valid Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement
  • Must be able to obtain a Hazardous Materials (HazMat) endorsement within 60 days of hire
  • At least 12 months of verifiable OTR or local driving experience within the previous 7 yearsNo more than 1 chargeable accident within the last 3 yearsNo more than 3 jobs within the last 3 yearsNo more than 1 moving violation within the last 3 years
  • Must successfully complete:
  • DOT pre-employment drug screeningDOT physical
  • Background check
