Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Senior Systems and Cloud EngineerThe Senior Systems and Cloud Engineer keeps Global IT’s internal systems and client cloud environments secure, reliable, scalable, and well documented. This role is also the senior escalation point for complex cloud, virtualization, systems, and infrastructure issues.
Key Responsibilities: Cloud and virtualization (35%):Design, manage, secure, and optimize Azure, Microsoft 365, AWS, VMware, Proxmox, Hyper-V, and related platforms. Support capacity planning, backups, disaster recovery, migrations, and lifecycle management. Technical escalations (25%):Lead advanced troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, major outage response, and permanent resolution of complex issues. Client infrastructure (15%):Monitor client environments, licensing, performance, capacity, backups, and service standards. Partner with account managers and project teams on recommendations. Documentation and operations (15%):Create clear standards, procedures, templates, and technical documentation. Improve consistency, automation, efficiency, and risk management. Mentorship and collaboration (10%):Mentor technical staff, provide peer review, remove technical roadblocks, and work closely with Operations, Security, Projects, and leadership. Success in This RoleSystems are reliable, secure, scalable, and ready for recovery. Complex issues are resolved quickly and do not keep recurring. Client environments are healthy, documented, and aligned with service expectations. Technical knowledge is shared, repeatable, and easy for the team to use. Work supports customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and business needs.
Required Qualifications: 7+ years in systems, cloud, infrastructure, or virtualization engineering. Strong experience with platforms such as Azure, Microsoft 365, AWS, VMware, Proxmox, and related platforms. Experience as a senior technical Systems escalation resource. Strong knowledge of networking, storage, backup, disaster recovery, and infrastructure resiliency. Ability to support multiple environments; MSP or multi-client experience is helpful. Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and business judgment.
Preferred Qualifications: Cloud architecture and MSP experience is a plus. Azure, Microsoft, VMware, AWS, Linux, or related certifications. Automation or scripting experience. Experience with compliance frameworks (SOC2, HIPAA, CMMC), healthcare, hospitality, multi-location environments, technical standards, or scalable infrastructure processes.
