Music Director - Fall Production

Compensation: $2,700 for the production paid through W-2 Responsibilities: Responsibilities include music directing the production, attending applicable rehearsals and tech week, playing during the show, and working collaboratively with all students and creative staff for the duration of the production. The successful candidate must be a competent pianist, music director, and vocal coach and have a well-rounded knowledge of musical theater repertoire. They must also have strong communication and organizational skills, work effectively with professionals, and be passionate about working with high school students in a fast-paced pre-professional school environment. Background checks are required. Standard Rehearsal Schedule at Walnut Hill in Natick: Monday – Thursday: 7:00 -10:00 PM Friday: 3:30 PM - 6:30 PM Saturday: 10:30 PM - 5:30 PM Specific Needs for This Production: Saturday, October 24: 10:30 AM–5:30 PM Week of October 26: Ideally present at every rehearsal. Week of November 1: Tech week begins. Monday, November 2: Rehearsals move to Boston. Evening rehearsal. Tuesday, November 3–Friday, November 6: 1:00 PM–10:00 PM Performances: Friday, November 6 at 8:00 PM Saturday, November 7 at 8:00 PM Sunday, November 8 at 2:00 PM Note: All offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of state and federal background checks.
