About the role
The Role:
We’re seeking a mid-level web developer to build and maintain PHP-based web applications using MariaDB, Java Script, HTML, and CSS. Candidates must have hands-on development experience and the ability to deliver features independently, from requirements through testing and deployment. This is an in-person position requiring attendance at our office Monday through Friday; remote and hybrid work arrangements are not available. What You’ll Do• Design, build, test, and maintain PHP/MariaDB web applications and supporting services. Extend and document our custom API that bridges our proprietary desktop applications and web services• Diagnose and resolve production issues. Collaborate with our development team on improvements to existing sites and on new initiatives• Make sound technical trade-offs and explain them to non-technical stakeholders when needed What We’re Looking For• 5–7 years of professional web development experience• Strong command of the LAMP/LEMP stack.• Solid front-end fundamentals: HTML, CSS, Java Script• Experience designing, building, and consuming REST APIs• Comfort with Git and modern source-control workflows• Track record of owning features from spec through deployment and maintenance• Clear written and verbal communication — you can explain a technical decision to a non-engineer Nice to Have• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (not required — equivalent experience is fine)• NodeJS development experience• Experience integrating web services with desktop applications• Print industry, e-commerce, or franchise-systems background About Minuteman Press Minuteman Press International is the world’s largest and #1 rated print, graphic design and marketing franchise, with over 1,000 locations and nearly half a billion dollars in system-wide gross sales. Salary range:
$75,000-$85,000 commensurate with experience. Performance-based bonus on top of base.
