We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Plumbing Technician I/II to join our growing team. In this role, you will independently perform plumbing diagnostics, repairs, maintenance, and installations for residential and light commercial customers. This position requires strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. Depending on experience level, you may work independently or alongside a more experienced technician on service calls. Responsibilities may include diagnosing plumbing issues, completing repairs and installations, performing drain and sewer services, and communicating findings with customers. Technician II employees will be expected to handle more complex service calls independently and may provide guidance and support to less experienced technicians when needed.
Duties: Diagnose and repair residential and light commercial plumbing issues. Perform drain cleaning and main line clearing services. Conduct sewer camera inspections. Perform hydro jetting operations. Install, repair, and replace residential and commercial water heaters. Replace valves, pressure reducing valves (PRVs), hose bibs, fixtures, and other plumbing components. Read and interpret work orders, service notes, manufacturer specifications, and technical documentation. Operate hand tools, power tools, drain cleaning equipment, sewer cameras, and diagnostic tools safely and effectively. Communicate repair recommendations and findings clearly to customers. Document completed work accurately using company software and service records. Maintain company vehicle, tools, equipment, and inventory. Follow all company safety procedures and industry best practices. Assist with training and mentoring newer technicians when needed.
Requirements: 2-3 years of plumbing or related trade experience. Strong understanding of residential plumbing systems and repair techniques. Experience diagnosing and repairing plumbing issues independently. Experience using drain cleaning equipment and plumbing diagnostic tools. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team. Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and plumbing equipment. Ability to read and interpret diagrams, schematics, and technical information. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to pass background screening and applicable pre-employment requirements. Ability to safely perform physically demanding work, including lifting, climbing, kneeling, and working in confined spaces.
Preferred Qualifications: 3-5 years of plumbing or related trade experience preferred. Sewer camera inspection experience Hydro jetting experience. Residential and commercial service plumbing experience. Water heater installation and replacement experience. Experience training or mentoring junior technicians.
