Loan Operations Specialist

Responsibilities: Supervise and coach a Loan Operations Specialist, establish performance goals, and improve workflow execution. Handle loan documentation, funding, disbursements, payments, renewals, participations, and lines of credit. Process letters of credit issuance and negotiations, perform first-checker document reviews, and prepare letters of credit-specific SWIFT messages. Process documentary and DIR collections and investment transactions. Provide backup coverage for ACH processing and returns, wire transfers and investigations, SWIFT queue monitoring, and end-of-day balancing. Support foreign exchange and treasury back-office processing, confirmations, securities transactions, and settlement payments as needed. Execute applicable banking controls, identify operational risks, and support process improvements.

Qualifications: 7-10 years of U.S. banking operations experience involving supervision of loan operations and letters of credit. Proficiency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken. Bachelor's degree; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Strong organization, prioritization, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently. Preferred ExperienceU.S. banking regulatory experience, ideally 7-10+ years, including OFAC, BSA/AML, Regulation E, and related requirements.
