Job Title Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical / Neuro LocationMorgantown, WV Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract Nights OnsiteKey Responsibilities Provide direct patient care on a 20-bed Neuro unit serving neuroscience, stroke, seizure, deep brain stimulator, surgical/post-op spine, and neurological disorder populations Maintain a 1:5-6 patient ratio for floor-level patients Administer and monitor drips per physician orders and established protocols; common drips include Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Dopamine, Nipride, Ketamine, Lasix, Bumex, and Insulin Document and verify monitor tech strip readings in Epic; RNs are not required to independently read telemetry strips Demonstrate proficiency with G-tube management as a routine component of patient care Participate in weekend and holiday rotation schedules; flexibility with scheduling is expected, including potential float assignments to other units within the facility
Required Qualifications:
- Active RN licensureBLS certification requiredNIHSS certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
- Strong, recent Neuro nursing experience required
- Recent Epic EMR experience required
- Proficiency and frequent hands-on experience with G-tube management required
- Preferred Experience / SkillsACLS certification preferred
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring in a floor or step-down setting
- Experience working with patients on floor-level ventilators (managed by RT and physician; vent experience is not required)
