VDC-HVAC Duct Detailer

Join Our Team: We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated VDC HVAC Duct Detailer to join our growing team. In this role you will utilize your knowledge and expertise in duct layout and routing while leveraging BIM and VDC technologies to develop highly detailed 3D duct models that support coordination, prefabrication, and successful project execution and installation. You will collaborate with project managers, field personnel, engineers, and other trade partners to deliver accurate and constructible duct systems for a variety of commercial construction projects. What You'll Do: Utilize Revit to model HVAC duct systems with fabrication content to proper duct practices to meet project specifications and current Smacna. Review project drawings and specifications and utilize them for modeling shop drawings. Create and maintain detailed 3D HVAC duct models using Revit and other BIM software. Review submittals and model duct systems with required service clearances, connection distances and electrical clearances Produce coordination drawings, installation drawings, and fabrication spool sheets. Participate in multidisciplinary BIM coordination meetings. Identify and resolve clashes with mechanical, electrical, fire protection, structural, and architectural systems. Generate hanger layouts, sleeve drawings, penetration drawings, and field layout information. Incorporate design revisions, RFIs, and field changes into project models. Work closely with project management and field teams to improve constructability and installation efficiency. Conduct quality control reviews to ensure model accuracy and adherence to company standards.

Qualifications: Required 2+ years of experience in ductwork detailing, BIM modeling, or VDC.Proficiency in understanding ductwork routing practices. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings: MEP, Structural, Architectural, and Civil) Ability to read and interpret specifications. Ability to read and interpret submittal documents. Strong understanding of commercial ductwork systems and installation practices. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Experience in Autodesk Revit and AutoCADExperience with Bluebeam/Adobe Acrobat Experience with Navisworks. Previous experience with commercial, healthcare, industrial, or institutional construction projects. Familiarity with fabrication processes. Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or BIM 360.Knowledge of Smacna, industry standards and installation practices.
