About the role

As of October 1st. a leading law firm is seeking an experienced Director of Library Services to oversee firmwide library operations and support the legal research, knowledge management, and business development needs of attorneys. This role will be responsible for:
Responsibilities: Leading and managing library personnel, policies, procedures, and services Overseeing legal and non-legal research and providing high-level research support Managing the firmwide library budget, vendor relationships, contracts, and cost recovery Overseeing database/resource selection, collection development, and technology/automation initiatives Partnering with IT and other departments on library technology, databases, and knowledge management Developing and coordinating training and orientation programs for attorneys and staff Analyzing library usage, expenses, and resources to support strategic decision-making
Requirements: JD or MLS from an ALA-accredited library school 10+ years of law firm library experience 3+ years of library management experience Comprehensive knowledge of legal and non-legal research resources and content formats Strong leadership, research, budget management, and vendor negotiation skills Resumes may be submitted in confidence to ciara@leaselabau.com
