West Leland Group is supporting an established, science-driven healthcare organization in a period of continued U.S. expansion to recruit multiple Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) to contribute to field-based Medical Affairs and scientific engagement initiatives.
These field-based roles focus on scientific exchange, clinical engagement, and investigator collaboration within oncology-focused care environments. The MSL serves as a trusted scientific resource to healthcare professionals, contributing to balanced, evidence-based medical dialogue and the generation of meaningful field insights.
The organization is continuing to expand its U.S. field medical presence and welcomes candidates across a range of geographies. Territory alignment will be determined primarily based on candidate location, with consideration for background, experience, and business needs.
The ideal candidate is energized by field engagement, comfortable initiating scientific discussions, and enjoys building trusted relationships with clinical stakeholders within complex care settings.
Location: United States (Remote, Field-Based)
What You’ll Do:
Build and maintain scientific relationships with key opinion leaders and clinical stakeholders
Serve as a trusted scientific resource, providing balanced and evidence-based medical information
Support investigator engagement and trial awareness activities within active clinical environments
Engage specialized treatment centers, referral networks, and expert clinicians
Gather and communicate medical insights from the field to inform Medical Affairs strategy
Participate in scientific meetings, congresses, and educational initiatives
Collaborate cross-functionally with Medical Affairs and Clinical stakeholders
Ensure all external interactions adhere to regulatory, legal, and ethical standards
What You Bring
Advanced degree in a scientific or clinical discipline (PharmD, PhD, MD, DNP, MSN, or equivalent)
Strong scientific grounding in Oncology, including exposure to Solid Tumor and/or Immuno-Oncology environments
Prior Medical Science Liaison, Medical Affairs, or comparable field-based scientific engagement experience preferred
Candidates with strong oncology-focused clinical backgrounds and demonstrated scientific communication capabilities are encouraged to apply
Experience engaging physicians, investigators, or specialized clinical stakeholders valued
Comfort communicating clinical data and scientific concepts to specialist audiences
High level of independence, organization, and territory management capability
Strong professional judgment and compliance orientation
