Subscriptions Editor

Overview In this role you will guide how Bloomberg connects journalism with its global subscriber base, shaping engagement across email, video, and site experiences. You will work with newsroom beat teams, audience editors, marketing and product to align around major moments and improve retention. You will analyze subscriber data to inform editorial decisions and run experiments to grow engagement. You will help craft onboarding and touchpoints to convert new users and deepen subscriptions. This role sits in the editorial digital subscriptions team in New York and offers impact at scale. Compensation / Benefitscomprehensive benefits plan 401(k) + matchmedical, dental, visionshort and long term disability benefitslife insurancewellness programs Responsibilities Coordinate plans with newsroom, audience and marketing around major news moments to reach subscribers via the right channels Manage subscriber touchpoints including the email program to scale delivery Develop strategies to engage the video product and expand reach across subscriber channels Partner with marketing and product to shape subscriber-facing experiences on Bloomberg's website and app, including onboarding and engagement initiatives Identify opportunities to experiment based on subscriber data, behaviors and trends Track and report on the performance of subscriber engagement initiatives and refine strategy over time Key requirements At least five years of experience in a digital newsroom Excellent news judgment and attention to detail Strong writing and editing skills with experience crafting compelling headlines Curiosity, creativity and willingness to experiment with new ideas Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across multiple teams Comfort working with data and analytics tools to inform editorial and engagement decisions Collaboration Curiosity Creativity Email platformsCMS tools Audience analytics tools
