Kubernetes - Cloud Engineer

Overview In this role you will design, build, and operate a scalable Azure Kubernetes Service platform to enable mission-critical workloads. You’ll partner with engineering, architecture, and product teams to modernize workloads and ensure secure, reliable cloud-native solutions. You’ll implement Git Ops, CI/CD pipelines, and IaC to automate deployment and operations. This position offers hands-on work with multi-cluster AKS, cloud-native patterns, and platform governance to drive reliability and efficiency. Compensation / Benefits 401K with company matchhealth, dental, vision insurancepaid time off including vacation and sick leavelong-term disabilityemployee assistance programincentive compensation Responsibilities Design, build, and operate AKS platforms for mission-critical workloads Manage multi-cluster/multi-region AKS deployments with HA/DROwn platform lifecycle: upgrades, patching, node pool management, cluster hardening Define standardized AKS architecture across environments Onboard and modernize workloads into containerized cloud-native architectures Enable scalable, resilient deployments using microservices/API-first/event-driven patterns Support integration with enterprise systems including hybrid connectivity Implement Git Ops deployment models using ArgoCDBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines on Azure Dev Ops / Git Hub Actions Develop IaC (Terraform preferred) for Azure resources and AKS provisioning Automate provisioning, scaling, and recovery of clusters Design and maintain platform observability with Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, Elasticsearch Ensure proactive monitoring and drive RCA and continuous reliability improvements Define and enforce SLOs, SLIs, and platform health KPIsImplement secure AKS architectures (Azure CNI, private clusters, identity integration)Integrate with Azure Key Vault for secrets management Lead troubleshooting across Kubernetes, Azure, and network layers Drive cost optimization and Fin Ops practices for AKS and Azure resources Bridge Cloud Platform Engineering with Product, Architecture, and Business teams Provide thought leadership on cloud-native platforms and governance Key requirements Minimum 10 years of experience in cloud engineering or related roles Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field Extensive experience with Kubernetes, containers, and distributed systems Strong expertise in Azure AKS; multi-cloud exposure (AWS/GCP)Hands-on experience with ArgoCD, Terraform, Azure Dev Ops, scripting Operational experience with observability tools (Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, Open Telemetry)Experience influencing or owning platform/product roadmaps with Product Management Solid background in cloud-native engineering concepts, performance optimization, security, and governance Strong communication and presentation skillsability to influence senior leadership and clientscross-functional collaboration KubernetesAKS on Azure Git Ops (ArgoCD)
