Loader Operator

The Load Out Operator uses heavy equipment for loading outbound trucks with finished product and is responsible for ensuring a steady flow of material for processing.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time. Operates yard and plant equipment to load materials. Maintains raw material mixture at proper moisture content. Maintains contact with operator to ensure most efficient drying rate. Performs daily maintenance on loader before each shift. Washes plant equipment, vehicles, and processing areas as necessary using high pressure power washer. Performs general cleaning as needed in work areas. Keeps area clean; raw materials piled out of driving area. Maintains safety as top priority in accordance with all company safety rules and regulations. Reviews and evaluates qualitative data reports to verify that product meets Company specifications. Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age. High School diploma or GED equivalent required. Minimum 1 year of experience in loader operations within a production environment. Must be able to work nights and weekends as needed.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a rendering operation preferred. Basic math skills; ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers. Good oral and written skills; able to follow oral and written directions. Ability to review & comprehend qualitative data reports to verify product meets specifications. Ability to deal with minor problems involving equipment or various situations. Working Conditions and Physical Demands - PLANTFrequently exposed to high noise levels, strong odors, varying temperatures, and biohazardous conditions. Requires prolonged sitting and movement throughout office/work locations, as well as occasional use of computers and office equipment. Must constantly stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb or balance. Must be able to communicate effectively and identify potential workplace hazards. Requires the ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 100lbs.
