Freight Brokerage Carrier Sales Representative The Freight Brokerage Carrier Sales Representative will be responsible for sourcing transportation providers and providing tracking updates as needed to support customer requests. Develop a carrier coverage strategy and have full autonomy for supporting a customer's truckload & LTL coverage needs. Directly engage with Account Executives, Shipment Management Associates (SMA) and Business Development Managers as needed to build a network of service providers that allows them the ability to foster an effective carrier network to support any and all freight transportation needs that a customer desires. Tender accept/reject loads, creates loads, sets appointments, dispatches, tracks and traces loads, root cause problem solves issues, and resolves/communicates to carrier and/or customer as appropriate. Identifies and Develops relationships with transportation providers to ensure adequate coverage to maximize penetration of customer freight portfolio through soliciting capacity. Manage day-to-day planning and scheduling of coverage for loads to ensure proper all customer's needs are met in the agreed upon time period. Continuous improvement in all segments of the business. Schedules and dispatches while ensuring compliance of Federal, State, and Local regulations. Responsible for timely updating of load statuses to the TMS.Maintain a positive employee related climate and maintain a customer satisfaction index at a World Class Level while having availability 24/7/365 for responsibilities. Performs other duties as assigned. Ability to represent the company with external constituents. Represent Ryder Shipment Management Services in a professional manner to internal and external parties. Ability to build strong customer relationships. Demonstrated customer service capabilities. Direct customer interface (internal/external) on all customer related issues. Effective leadership skills. Knowledge and support of RIL policies and procedures advanced required. Demonstrated PC skills in MS Access, Excel, Word. Clear understanding of SMS legacy system intermediate required. Understanding of assigned customer, customer product and distribution requirements intermediate required. H.S. diploma/GED required. Bachelor's degree preferred in Transportation Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field. Three (3) years or more business experience required. Working knowledge of Transportation Industry, carrier modes & services and basic Supply Chain design and functionality advanced required. Knowledge and support of RIL policies and procedures advanced required. Demonstrated PC skills in MS Access, Excel, Word. Clear understanding of SMS legacy system intermediate required. Understanding of assigned customer, customer product and distribution requirements intermediate required. No travel required. Not DOT regulated.

Compensation offered may be influenced by relevant experience, education, work location, market data/ranges, internal equity, internal salary ranges, etc. The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type.
Pay Type: Salaried.
Minimum Pay Range: 50000.
