About the role

Venture-backed B2B Fin Tech (SaaS) selling into financial institutions is preparing for a Series B raise in 2027. Company sells direct and through distribution partners and has several signed large logos in place. Company runs lean, is full remote with a team scaling fast and plans to roughly double headcount over the next 18–24 months.
The Role: This role will own and scale all revenue-generating functions across the company. This is a hands-on leadership role: you'll manage and directly lead the sales team, while also owning the broader revenue strategy — pricing, partnerships, customer success alignment, and go-to-market execution. You'll work closely with the Executive Team to ensure the company's commercial strategy is tightly aligned with product direction and company growth targets. This is a high-impact seat for someone who wants to build a revenue engine from a strong foundation, not inherit a fully built machine — the company is early enough that you'll shape the sales org's structure, hiring plan, and process as we scale.
Compensation: $225,000-$250,000 in base salary, $350,000-$400,000 in annual OTE, and an equity stake ~1.5%.
What You'll Do: Manage and directly lead the sales team — recruiting, coaching, quota-setting, pipeline management, and performance accountability across AEs, SDRs, and/or Partnerships roles as the team grows Own company's overall revenue strategy and forecasting — new logo acquisition, expansion revenue, and retention Build and refine sales process, and messaging in partnership with Product and Marketing Design and evolve sales compensation, quota structures, and territory/segment planning Represent company in key client and partner relationships, especially strategic or enterprise deals Partner with internal team on client and compliance-related issues as they intersect with the revenue function — including contract terms, data use and permissible purpose questions, client escalations, and ensuring sales practices and client commitments align with regulatory and compliance requirements Partner internally to ensure product roadmap and packaging reflect real market and client feedback Build repeatable, scalable sales processes and infrastructure (CRM, forecasting, reporting) appropriate for a company doubling in size Report on pipeline health, revenue performance, and forecasting accuracy to the CEO and leadership team What We're Looking For 8+ years in B2B SaaS/Fin Tech sales leadership, with direct experience managing and scaling a sales team Track record of building or significantly scaling a sales function at a high-growth startup, ideally in Fin Tech, or data infrastructure Experience selling technical/API-driven products to financial institutions, lenders, or fintechs is a strong plus Comfortable navigating client-facing compliance considerations (contracts, data use, regulatory nuance)Comfortable operating with startup ambiguity — this role has real latitude to define process and structure, not just execute an existing playbook Strong track record hitting or exceeding revenue targets, with the data and forecasting discipline to back it up Excellent communicator, comfortable representing the company externally with clients/partners and internally with the exec team Experience working cross-functionally with Product and Engineering to shape roadmap based on market feedback
Bonus Points: Experience with usage-based or API-consumption pricing models Prior experience scaling a sales org through a headcount-doubling growth phase Familiarity with financial services regulatory frameworks, even if not in a formal compliance capacity
