About the role

Sr. AWS Engineer New York City, NY (Manhattan) Contract to Hire CDW is seeking a Sr. AWS Engineer to work with our team in the NYC office five days per week. This role is for a senior engineer with extensive software engineering experience building cloud platforms and hands-on expertise across AWS infrastructure, automation, security, networking, landing zones, and migration projects.
Responsibilities: Build cloud platforms using AWS and Infrastructure as Code practices. Develop and maintain infrastructure automation with Terraform, Python, and GitHub Actions. Support IAM and security policy implementation within AWS environments. Apply cloud networking concepts to platform engineering work. Contribute to landing zone and cloud migration projects.
Required Qualifications: Extensive software engineering experience building cloud platforms. AWS experience. Terraform experience. Python experience. GitHub Actions experience. Infrastructure as Code experience. IAM / Security Policy experience. Cloud networking concepts. Landing Zones experience. Migration project experience.
Preferred Qualifications: GCP experience. AI experience. Certifications. Cloud Networking experience. Information Security experience.
