About the role

The Director of Dietary Services is responsible for managing and coordinating all activities of the Food Service Department and the Dietitians, including providing nutritious and appealing meals for patients and facility staff while maintaining a clean and sanitary environment. This role involves overseeing supply inventory and purchasing, ensuring proper storage of food and supplies, and leading an efficient food service team. Additionally, the Director approves hospital menus, including modified diets, conducts nutritional assessments, and offers counseling to patients and their families regarding dietary plans and nutritional principles. The Director monitors performance improvement initiatives within Dietary Services and contributes to the development and implementation of patient care plans addressing nutritional needs.
Minimum Qualifications: If your highest degree was completed before 2020, a bachelor’s degree is required. If your highest degree was completed in 2020 or later, a master’s degree is required. Utah State licensure: Registered Dietitian (RD) Food Safety Manager Certification
Desired Qualifications: Leadership experience and working with patients in a hospital setting.
