Outpatient Physical Therapist

Mercy is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will evaluate and treat patients with musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions, develop individualized care plans, and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize recovery and function. You’ll provide evidence-based, compassionate care while educating patients and families on home programs and injury prevention. Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and functional assessments Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans Provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities as appropriate Educate patients and families on diagnosis, care plans, and home programs Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members Document assessments, progress notes, and outcomes in EMR accurately and timely Monitor patient progress and adjust plans of care as needed Maintain compliance with regulatory, ethical, and safety standards Participate in quality improvement and clinical best-practice initiatives Precept or mentor students and new team members as appropriate Orthopedic physical therapy Neurologic physical therapy Manual therapy techniques Therapeutic exercise prescription Gait and balance training Use of rehabilitation modalities (e.g., ultrasound, e-stim) Functional movement assessment Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation Patient and family education Care plan development and outcomes tracking Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active state Physical Therapist (PT) license or eligibility upon hire Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent from an accredited program BLS/CPR certification Preferred: Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS) or Neurologic Certified Specialist (NCS)
