Director of Nursing - Emergency

Key Responsibilities: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Emergency Department nursing team. Ensure compliance with regulatory and accrediting agency standards. Develop and manage departmental budgets, fostering efficient resource utilization. Implement and uphold human resource management practices within the department. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional development among staff. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.

Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in a related field is preferred. A minimum of 3 years of experience in emergency nursing, with up to 5 years total experience relevant to the role. Previous management experience in a healthcare setting is essential. Current South Carolina RN license, along with CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications. Proficient in fiscal management and knowledgeable in HR management. Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong decision-making skills.
