Job Title: Refrigeration Technician Department: Service
Reports to: Service Manager
Effective Date: 10/2024 Classification: Full time, non-exempt
Job Summary:
The Refrigeration Technician is responsible for installing and repairing new and used refrigeration units onto trailers.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Installs new refrigeration units in a timely and proficient manner Inspect, diagnose and troubleshoot refrigeration systems to identify malfunctions and determine repairs
- Perform all levels of maintenance and repair services on various brands of refrigeration units.
- Maintains accurate records of repairs, parts used at the time of repair
- Keeps shop and shop equipment organized and clean and workspace free of clutter
- Communicate effectively with service team and coworkers
- Participates in training and continued education opportunities provided by the company
- Employees are required to be on a rotation Service Call schedule
- Employee must be at work during scheduled hours and demonstrate reliable and predictable attendance
- Other duties and tasks as required by supervisor Required Skills/Abilities: Ability to follow instructions from supervisor or management.
- Knowledge of general maintenance and repair.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
- Regular attendance & ability to be ready at the start of shift necessary
- Valid Driver’s License & a satisfactory MVRAbility to pass post-offer physical & drug screen Education and Experience:
- Related experience required
- High School Diploma or equivalent required Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift, push or carry up to 100-pound objects with assistance
- Frequently required to sit / stand / kneel / stoop / bend / use hands to handle materials / reach with arms and hands / operate motor-vehicle or job-related equipment / climb ladders
