Addus Family company is hiring: Home Health Aide in Border Hill

Addus Family company is seeking compassionate Home Care Aides to support elderly, chronically ill, and disabled clients in their homes. In this mission-driven role, you will assist with personal care, grooming, mobility, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and companionship, helping clients remain safe and independent at home. You’ll follow individualized care plans, observe and report changes in condition, and uphold strict safety, infection-control, and compliance standards. Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting Support safe transfers, mobility, and positioning as directed Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding as needed Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and home organization tasks Remind clients to take medications per care plan (no medication administration) Observe and report changes in client condition to supervisors promptly Follow individualized care plans and all safety, infection-control, and compliance standards Offer companionship, emotional support, and engagement in daily activities Document care provided according to agency policies and procedures Collaborate with care team members and participate in required trainings Personal care assistance (bathing, grooming, dressing) Safe transfer and mobility support Basic home safety and fall prevention Meal preparation and safe food handling Light housekeeping and home organization Infection control and standard precautions Observation and basic reporting of client status Recordkeeping and care documentation Time management and route planning Customer service and client relations Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – preferred but not required in some locations Home Health Aide (HHA) certification – preferred where applicable CPR and First Aid certification – preferred or required per state Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, if travel is required Ability to pass background checks and meet state regulatory requirements
