Drivers on USPS routes who decline RTS health insurance receive an additional $5.36/hr on the first 40 USPS hours per week — paid directly on top of base pay. What We Expect on the USPS Routes (Routes 1, 2, and 3) USPS contracts are built on one thing: consistency and on-time performance. Run on schedule, every shift. Late arrivals impact USPS operations and the entire RTS contract. Communicate immediately with Operations or the Post Office if anything threatens the schedule — traffic, weather, mechanical, anything. Represent RTS professionally at every USPS facility. Check in with the Expeditor on Duty at every stop and follow load/unload procedures. What We Expect on the Dedicated Shuttle (Route 4) This is a long-standing, year-round dedicated account. It has busy days and slow days — that's the nature of the work — but the pay stays consistent because we value the same thing the customer does: a reliable driver who shows up every day, handles the freight professionally, and keeps the account running smoothly. Consistency is what makes this seat one of the best local shuttle gigs in the city.
