Description:
American Traveler is hiring a Home Health RN to support increased referrals and caseloads throughout Durham County, requiring recent home health/hospice experience and an NC or compact RN license in hand. Details Home Health setting covering caseloads throughout Durham CountyAdult home health patient population with a 1:20 patient ratio Performs a wide range of home health skills including wound care, catheter management, ostomy/feeding tube care, medication administration, and chronic disease management Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PMNo call and no weekend requirementsEPIC charting system experience required
Requirements:
- Active NC or Compact RN license required in handADN required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year of recent Home Health or Hospice experience
- Previous charge nurse experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required1 supervisory reference from within the last year required for consideration
Additional Information:
- Provide skilled home health nursing care including assessments, recertifications, start of care, and discharge visits
- Perform OASIS documentation, infection control precautions, and palliative symptom management
- Bi-weekly orientation schedule
- Any scrub color permitted
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
- Local candidates accepted at a reduced bill rate within a 75-mile radius
- Flu vaccine required between October 31 and March 31 with no exemptions
- Candidates with prior permanent employment at Duke University Health System must not have worked there within the past 6 monthsRTO requests must be limited to 5-7 days maximum
