Shift scheduling is generally Mon-Fri, 0700-1330 with call. Full-time and Locum Tenens positions with generous compensation packages are available.

Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive anesthesiology services for:
- Cardiac surgery
- Orthopedic joint replacement
- Major vascular procedures
- Thoracic surgery
- Neurosurgical procedures
- Plastic surgeryENT procedures
- Urologic surgery
- Ophthalmologic surgery
- Provide anesthesia care for:
- Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT)
- Cardiac catheterization procedures
- Electrophysiology procedures
- Gastrointestinal procedures
- Radiology suite procedures
- Provide primary coverage for:
- Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU)
- Short Stay UnitAcute pain management services
- Chronic pain management services
- Diagnostic transesophageal echocardiography
- Emergency airway management
Perform bedside consultations and outpatient clinic consultations as appropriate.
Follow VA medication policies and procedures.
Provide discharge education and follow-up instructions to patients.
Communicate test results in accordance with VA requirements.
Document all patient care in the VA electronic health record system
QualificationsBoard Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
Active, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
No history of restricted, suspended, revoked, denied, or voluntarily surrendered licensure
Current AHA BLS and ACLSNPI report printout
Active DEA license
Must be able to pass a federal background investigation
All candidates must be able to:
Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
Lift up to 20 lbs
Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
