Accounting Manager

Responsibilities: Lead daily accounting operations, including oversight of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger activity, and monthly reconciliations across balance sheet and subsidiary accounts. Direct the month-end close cycle by preparing and reviewing journal entries, analyzing results, and ensuring timely completion of financial statements. Monitor cash positions, manage banking activity, support fraud prevention efforts, and develop recurring cash flow projections to help guide business decisions. Maintain accurate bank reconciliations, fixed asset records, and depreciation schedules while ensuring supporting documentation is complete and organized. Supervise front-office accounting staff, provide guidance to team members, and step in to support essential transactional duties when needed. Oversee collection efforts for outstanding receivables and help drive consistent follow-up to improve cash recovery and account resolution. Support payroll-related accounting by recording pay-period entries and serving as an on-site resource for payroll and benefits administration matters. Ensure compliance with tax filings and regulatory reporting requirements at the local, state, and federal levels. Coordinate audit preparation by assembling schedules, responding to external auditor requests, and assisting with interim and year-end review activities. Evaluate accounting procedures and internal controls, then implement process improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, and operational effectiveness.
