Product Manager, New Products (Remote, US) If you want to know about the requirements for this role, read on for all the relevant information. About OwlueOwlue helps homeowners pay only their fair share of property tax. Today we handle the whole property tax appeal process for homeowners: we value the home, build the evidence, and file the appeal. Property tax is local, complicated and full of fine print, and most homeowners never claim what they're entitled to. We use data, automation and AI to change that.
The role:
We're hiring a Product Manager to find and build Owlue's next products. You'll work at the edge of what we do today, in areas like property tax relief programs, where the rules change by state and county, the process is mostly paperwork, and homeowners often don't know what they qualify for. You'll own new opportunities from first question to launch. You'll figure out where homeowners are losing money, work out how the rules actually operate, decide whether the opportunity is worth pursuing, and design a product that makes a confusing government process simple and trustworthy. You'll work directly with founders and a small, senior engineering team that ships fast with AI-native tools.
What you'll do:
Find new value for homeowners. Spot unmet needs across the property tax lifecycle and turn them into product opportunities with a clear case for impact.- Master the rules. Research statutes, county and state procedures, deadlines, forms and eligibility rules across jurisdictions. Turn them into requirements engineers can build against.- Size the market. Estimate addressable demand, eligibility rates, unit economics and rollout order across states and counties, using public data and our own.- Design user flows. Map end-to-end customer and internal staff journeys, including edge cases, documentation needs and failure paths, so the product works for real households and not just the happy path.- Write clear specs. Produce PRDs, acceptance criteria and launch plans that leave no ambiguity, and stay involved through build, QA and launch.- Handle risk and compliance. Work with legal and operations on regulatory requirements, consumer disclosures and the responsible handling of sensitive customer information.- Measure and iterate. Define success metrics, run experiments and use results to decide what to expand, change or stop.
What we're looking for:
4+ years of product management experience, ideally in fintech, insurtech, proptech, govtech, legal tech, healthcare or another regulated, rules-heavy field.- You've taken at least one product from zero to one: problem discovery, market sizing, definition, launch.- You enjoy reading primary sources (statutes, agency guidance, official forms) and turning them into precise product logic.- Strong analytical skills. You're comfortable with spreadsheets and SQL and can build a credible market model from imperfect public data.- You write clearly and concisely. Your specs leave nothing to guess.- Good judgment about trust and privacy when a product handles personal and financial information.- Comfortable with ambiguity and a small team. You set direction without waiting for it.
Nice to have:
Experience with property tax, real estate, mortgage, tax preparation or government benefits programs.- Experience designing workflows that span customers, internal operations staff and third parties.- Experience working with AI-assisted products or teams that build with AI.Owlue is an equal opportunity employer. xhqgsiq We welcome applicants of all backgrounds.
