About the role

Environmental Service Attendant The Environmental Service Attendant maintains a clean, safe, and orderly environment across a variety of facilities, including commercial spaces, healthcare settings, schools, universities, and other establishments. This role focuses on ensuring sanitary conditions and supporting a hygienic environment for patients, staff, students, and visitors.
Responsibilities: Clean and sanitize assigned areas within facilities, including healthcare environments, schools, universities, and commercial locations. Maintain floors, surfaces, and high-touch areas in a hygienic and orderly condition using appropriate cleaning methods and supplies. Remove trash and recycling from designated areas and ensure proper disposal according to facility guidelines. Restock supplies such as paper products, soap, and other sanitary items in restrooms and common areas. Follow established cleaning schedules and procedures to meet facility standards and regulatory requirements. Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and correctly in accordance with training and safety protocols. Report any maintenance or safety issues, such as spills, hazards, or damaged equipment, to the appropriate personnel. Support infection control practices in hospital and healthcare environments by adhering to sanitary cleaning procedures. Work efficiently across different locations on the premises as assigned, adapting to various facility types and layouts. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all occupants. Essential Skills Demonstrated ability to perform cleaning and sanitizing tasks in a variety of facility types, including hospitals and healthcare environments. Understanding of basic sanitary and hygiene practices required in commercial, educational, and healthcare settings. Ability to follow established cleaning procedures, schedules, and safety guidelines. Capability to work in different locations on the premises and adapt to changing assignments. Attention to detail in maintaining an orderly and clean environment. Ability to use cleaning tools, equipment, and chemicals safely after appropriate training.
Additional Skills & Qualifications: Experience working in hospital or healthcare environmental services is beneficial. Familiarity with cleaning standards in schools, universities, and commercial facilities is an advantage. Willingness to learn and follow infection control and sanitation protocols. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Saint Johns, FL.
Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $16.03 - $16.03/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
