CDL A Refrigerated Truck Driver

Hirschbach Motor Lines is seeking a Company CDL A Truck Driver to haul refrigerated, temperature-controlled freight for major food and consumer brands. Based out of Dubuque, IA with nationwide routes, you’ll operate modern, fuel-efficient equipment while prioritizing safety and on-time delivery. Responsibilities include long-haul and regional driving, maintaining proper trailer temperatures, completing inspections and logs, and providing professional customer service. Operate Class A tractor-trailer safely for long-haul and regional routes Transport temperature-controlled freight on schedule nationwide Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and basic equipment checks Adhere to DOT, FMCSA, and company safety regulations and policies Manage electronic logs and required trip documentation accurately Communicate with dispatch and support teams for load planning Maintain proper temperature control and securement of freight Provide professional customer service at shippers and receivers Report maintenance needs and collaborate with shop personnel Support a culture of safety, reliability, and continuous improvement CDL Class A driving Long-haul/OTR trucking Refrigerated trailer operation DOT/FMSCA compliance Electronic logging devices (ELD) Vehicle inspection and basic maintenance Trip planning and time management Freight securement Temperature-controlled freight handling Customer service in transportation Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid CDL Class A license Clean MVR meeting FMCSA and company standards DOT medical certification TWIC or tanker endorsement a plus (optional) Safe driving record with verifiable experience
