Position Summary: The Forklift Operator reports to the Warehouse Lead. The ideal candidate is responsible for safely moving, loading, unloading and staging materials with powered industrial trucks during their assigned shift in the module factory. This role involves receiving and shipping freight, putting away pallets and keeping inventory records accurate with RF scanners, all within OSHA and site safety rules. The Forklift Operator will work closely with the production team and warehouse team to keep materials flowing and support continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities1. Load, unload, transfer and stage raw materials, components and finished modules with powered industrial trucks (PIT).2. Inspect inbound freight for damage, check it against the Bill of Lading (BOL), and load outbound trailers and flatbeds securely.3. Put away pallets to high-bay racks or bulk staging areas using reach trucks or counterbalance forklifts.4. Record every inventory move, bin location and cycle count in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) with handheld RF scanners.5. Complete OSHA-required pre-shift equipment inspections (battery or fuel, hydraulics, brakes, tires, horn) and report defects right away.6. Keep aisles clean and clear, yield to pedestrians, follow speed limits and wear required PPE at all times.
Qualifications: Required
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid OSHA-compliant forklift certification.
  • At least 1 year of direct forklift operating experience.
  • Experience on Class I (sit-down electric) or Class IV/V (internal combustion counterbalance) trucks.
  • Able to read shipping documents, count accurately and use an RF scanner.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and to sit, stand and bend for 8-12 hour shifts. Preferred
  • Class II (stand-up reach / order picker) and Class III (electric pallet jack) experience.
  • Experience with an enterprise WMS such as SAP, Manhattan or Oracle.
  • High-volume distribution or high-bay racking (over 25 ft) experience.
Working Conditions: Active warehouse and manufacturing floor with moving equipment, high noise, changing temperatures and dust. Steel-toe boots, a high-visibility vest, and a hard hat or safety glasses are required as posted.
