About the role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of construction projects from initial planning through to completion. The role will involve coordinating all aspects of project execution, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. You will work closely with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders to establish clear objectives, manage expectations and maintain effective communication throughout the project lifecycle. Key responsibilities will include preparing and maintaining project programmes, budgets, risk registers and procurement plans; coordinating design, planning and construction activities; managing contractors and subcontractors; monitoring progress against milestones; and resolving operational, technical or commercial issues as they arise. You will oversee site meetings, review project documentation, track variations and payment applications, and provide accurate reports on progress, costs, risks and performance. Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, building regulations, health and safety requirements, environmental standards and quality procedures will be an essential part of the position. You will also support handover, defect resolution and project close-out activities. The successful candidate will have proven experience managing construction projects, ideally across commercial, residential, industrial or infrastructure environments, together with a strong understanding of construction methods, contracts, cost control and programme management. A relevant qualification in construction management, civil engineering, project management or a related discipline is desirable. You should be confident leading multidisciplinary teams, negotiating with suppliers and contractors, and making informed decisions in a fast-paced environment. Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills are essential, along with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safe, high-quality delivery. Relevant professional accreditation or membership of a recognised industry body would be advantageous.
