Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Sterile Processing Technician, you'll play a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality surgical care by making sure every instrument is thoroughly cleaned, sterilized, and ready when needed. Your focus on safety and attention to detail helps protect patients and empowers a team thats committed to the care and improvement of human lifeone surgery at a time.
Your responsibilities will include:
Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards
Monitoring sterilization cycles, documenting results, and resolving issues promptly to deliver on our commitment to safe, high-quality care
Preparing and organizing instrument trays and surgical rooms based on the daily schedule and procedural needs
Safely handling and disposing of biohazardous materials while keeping the work area clean and organized
Working closely with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and support smooth, efficient surgeries What qualifications you will need: High School Graduate/GED
Graduate from a Sterile Processing Technician school.
Current Sterile Processing Technician Certification or agreement to obtain within 6 months of employment.
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date Benefits

Eligibility for benefits may vary by location. HCA Florida Kendall Hospital is located in west Miami-Dade County. Our acute care facility has 417-beds. Our services include trauma, burn, surgical, womens and childrens services, behavioral health and diagnostic services. We have two full service free-standing ER facilities.
