Job Title: Surgical Physician Assistant (SPA)

Location: Springfield, Oregon

Schedule: 7:30AM - 5:30PM x 5Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension

Pay Rate: $1028 - $1107/hrAstrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Surgical Physician Assistant (SPA) for a locum tenens assignment in Springfield, Oregon. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend. Responsibilities for a Surgical Physician Assistant (SPA):Provide gap coverage as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in Vascular Surgery Work 10-hour call shifts (0700-1700 or 1700-0700 beeper) Monday-Friday and/or 24-hour call shifts (0700-0700) Monday-Friday or 24-hour weekend call Report at the beginning of shift for handoff, rounding, and other duties when shift begins at 0700 Participate in clinic hours from 0800-1630 as applicable Complete a minimum of 6 call shifts per month Provide coverage for identified gap night shifts in October, November, and December Perform rounding and patient admissions in both inpatient and outpatient settings Manage a patient population of 15-20 patients per day with vascular/endovascular diagnoses First assist in the operating room and assist with in-clinic procedures Work collaboratively with an assigned MD/DO; will not work solo Utilize Epic EMR system for documentation and charting Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications (must be from American Heart Association or American Red Cross) Provide documentation of clinical services representative of the scope and complexity of privileges requested within the previous 24 months Submit a case log of surgical cases for the last 24 months, including documentation by a surgeon indicating level of assist (first, second, or third) Provide specific documentation of training and competency for the NP privilege of First Assist in Surgery, including type and number of procedures performed in the last two years Adhere to COVID-19 vaccination requirements (required, no exemptions) Comply with all applicable credentialing, privileging, and compliance documentation requirements Benefits for a Surgical Physician Assistant (SPA):Weekly pay every Friday Comprehensive Professional Malpractice Insurance24/7 Recruitment Support Full-service Credentialing and Corporate Travel Team Referral Bonus up to $1,500 Astrya Global Medical Staffing offers 10+ years of staffing experience, 100% domestic support, and is certified by both the Joint Commission and National Association of Locum Tenens Organizations.
