Description:
American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Inpatient Rehab unit requiring a PA or Compact RN license and acute inpatient rehab experience. Details Acute Inpatient Rehab unit within a community hospital setting Patient ratio of 1:6Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AMEvery other weekend (Saturday/Sunday) and every other holiday required Floating required to Med/Surg and Telemetry units No call requirements Epic EMR experience required
Requirements:
- Active PA or Compact RN license required in hand
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
- Acute Inpatient Rehab experience required
- Community hospital experience requiredExperience with blood glucose monitoring requiredExperience with care and management of ports required
- Charge nurse experience preferred
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
Additional Information:
- Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius, though local candidates are accepted at a different rateRTO must be submitted at time of application and cannot be added afterward
- Block scheduling cannot be accommodatedPA fingerprints are required and must be completed within one week of signing, which may involve travel of over 100 miles
- Pass/Fail clinical exam required for clearance with a maximum of three attempts
- Provide direct patient care including IV therapy, insulin protocols, wound care, and patient teaching
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
