Client & Rental Operations Manager – Party Rental DivisionCSP is partnering with a privately held event rental solutions company, offering tents, tables, chairs, catering equipment, dance floors and other event furnishings with delivery and setup. We've built a reputation for quality, reliability, and personalized service over more than 200 years, serving everything from weddings and corporate events to large-scale celebrations and high-profile organizations.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Client Relations Rental Manager to lead our high-volume Party Rental Division, overseeing daily operations, customer relationships, inventory, staffing, logistics, and event execution. This is a hands-on leadership role and the face of the division, working directly with event planners, venues, corporate accounts, and other high-profile customers.
Responsibilities:
Operations: Oversee daily division operations, customer service, opening/closing procedures, and overall service levels.
Inventory: Manage inventory of tables, chairs, linens, china, flatware, décor, and other rental equipment, including cleaning, maintenance, and repair.
Team Leadership: Lead and support the Assistant Warehouse Manager, who directly supervises approximately 22 warehouse employees. Provide direction, set priorities, and ensure staffing and operations align with business needs.
Logistics: Coordinate delivery schedules, truck assignments, route planning, and event setup/teardown to ensure accurate and timely execution.
Sales & Quotes: Consult with customers, prepare accurate quotes, manage event contracts, and ensure rental orders are properly coordinated from booking through return.
Client Relations: Serve as a primary point of contact for event planners, venues, and corporate accounts. Build strong relationships and provide a high level of customer service.
Problem Solving: Quickly resolve delivery delays, incorrect orders, equipment issues, staffing challenges, and other time-sensitive problems.
Site Inspections: Conduct venue walkthroughs to assess space, measurements, access, and other logistical requirements when needed.
Scheduling & Labor: Work with the Assistant Warehouse Manager to develop staffing schedules and effectively manage labor needs and overtime.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure appropriate safety practices are followed, including proper lifting and forklift procedures, and maintain vehicle, safety, and DOT compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in event rentals, hospitality, catering, logistics, or a related industry
- Previous management or supervisory experience with responsibility for employees, scheduling, and daily operations
- Familiar with OSHA compliant safety meetings and DOT rules and regulations
- Strong organizational, leadership, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in a fast-paced, high-pressure event environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with customers, employees, and leadership
- Proficiency with standard computer applications; experience with Party Track event rental software is a plus.
