About the role

Title: Sr. Systems Engineer - Linux

Location: San Diego, CAMode of work : OnsiteWe are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for managing and automating enterprise Linux/Unix platforms across VMware-based on-prem and hybrid environments. Ensures high availability, security compliance, and operational stability of mission-critical banking applications. You will also act as an L2/L3 System Engineer resource, working across IT Infrastructure teams in a regulated banking environment.

Requirements:

5+ years of experience in Linux Administration
Strong expertise in Puppet (configuration management)
Hands-on experience with VMware (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter)
Experience in production support / incident management
Scripting: Bash / Python
Knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS) and storage systems
Experience with ITSM (incident/change management)
