About the role

Responsibilities: Tutors students at all levels of assigned academicdiscipline.
Essential Functions: Tutors college preparatory students and college-level studentsneeding help at all levels of the assigned academicdiscipline. Conducts orientations to the assigned area. Assists staff in assigned area with various tasks. Attends mandatory tutor training seminars and other meetingswhen scheduled. Performs other duties as may be required or assigned.
Required Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of anacceptable equivalency diploma.
Desired Qualifications: Experience tutoring students.
Demonstrated academic proficiency within the discipline.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Personal and professional commitment to creating an atmosphereof quality instruction. English reading, writing, and speaking skills at the nativelevel of fluency. Ability to utilize technology and innovative pedagogy to enhanceteaching and learning. Understanding of and commitment to working with a diversestudent population in a multicultural environment. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communicationskills. Ability to exhibit a professional, courteous demeanor. Work Environment and Special Considerations Works in a classroom/lab setting. Flexible hours, days and assigned campus location may vary dueto enrollment. Pay Benefits and Work Schedule $15.00 hourly up to 26 hours per week.
