Human Resources Generalist

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Work with Temp Agencies to fill warehouse openings including seasonal and peak-volume ramp-ups. Assist with job offers, background checks, I-9 verifications, new hire orientations including benefit overview. Answer basic benefit inquiries and provide support during open enrollment. Investigate employee concerns, complaints and policy violations while documenting outcomes. Coach leaders on performance management and progressive discipline. Support management during involuntary terminations and perform exit interviews during voluntary quits. Actively participate on the Safety Committee. Make oneself available and approachable for all employees. Assist with leave requests and employee injuries including filing workers compensation claims. Support employee engagement including event planning.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree preferred.3-5 years of HR experience in a warehouse setting. Working knowledge of federal and state laws. Strong communication skills when dealing with employees of all levels. Confidence in judgment skills during conflict resolution. Ability to handle confidential information.
