Peace Officer Pool (Academy)

High School Diploma or GEDOnly GED certificates obtained through a GED Testing Center approved by the GED Testing Service (GETS) will be accepted. Texas Peace Officer License issued by Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) Valid Texas driver's license Individual recommended for the position must pay a $46.98 fingerprinting fee by credit card as part of the application processto be considered for employment. Special Knowledge/Skills General knowledge of criminal investigation, police report writing, and criminal laws Training and ability to subdue offenders, including use of firearms and handcuffs Bonded as required by Texas Education Code 37.081(h) Ability to pass required physical, psychiatric, and drug tests Ability to work well with youth and adults Ability to follow verbal and written instructions Ability to communicate effectively Possess strong organizational and time management skills Additional Requirements Possess a valid Texas driver's license Minimum flexibility in work hours may be necessary Ability to pass required physical, psychiatric, and drug test Experience Experience in law enforcement or related work experience
