Senior Database Engineer

Mandatory Skills: Cloud, AWS, Python, UNIX, Shell Scripting, Oracle DB, and Postgres DB

Required Key Skills: Knowledge of Database concepts: Architecture, storage options, optimizing storage Managed services, advantages, disadvantages Knowledge of database operations: Backup, methods, and tools Monitoring Knowledge of data recovery: DR strategies DR tools Pros and cons of different approaches Knowledge of data protection Knowledge of data virtualization technologies: Conceptual Architecture Proficiency in Python REST API development (core Python skills required). Experience with AWS services including Cloud Formation, Lambda, S3, Artifactory, Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail, KMS keys, IAM roles, Security Groups, etc.

Additional responsibilities include: Building and maintaining pipelines that deploy databases. Updating, fixing issues, and adding new functionalities to existing build scripts. Strong background in Python, Unix, Scripting. Understanding API calls with Swagger and experience with Git Hub, including branching and merging. Knowledge of Java coding or ability to make changes may be required.
