This hands-on leadership role is pivotal in providing financial governance, cost transparency, forecasting, allocation, optimization, and reporting across various AI technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and integrating a comprehensive view of AI costs and consumption, defining unit economics, and leading budgeting and forecasting for AI investments. The role demands a strategic link among technology, engineering, finance, procurement, and business leadership to ensure that AI innovation is financially accountable and delivers measurable value. Candidates for this role at The Company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 10 years' of experience, with a strong preference for those with a background in FinOps, cloud financial management, technology finance, or AI engineering. Practical experience in AI pricing and consumption drivers, as well as a proven track record in managing or optimizing cloud spend at scale, is essential. The role requires a results-oriented mindset, strong analytical judgment, and the ability to communicate technical cost drivers and business trade-offs effectively. Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial management in a large, regulated enterprise, particularly with a focus on AI and machine learning economics, is highly valued. The ideal candidate will be adept at building a new operating discipline, have a clear understanding of financial governance in the context of AI, and be proficient in working with cost and usage data and reporting platforms.
